Betsy
Betsy is the first mini trained to be a therapy horse. She began volunteering just before her 1st birthday. Betsy draws a crowd wherever she goes, and always gets lots of compliments on her beautiful blue eyes and fluffy hair! She has volunteered over 7 years, and loves to see familiar faces at all of our regular visits. She is all business when we’re out on a visit, but when she’s at the farm you can find her running full speed ahead in the pasture or being mischievous around the barn!
Mary
Mary is a precious Mediterranean Miniature Donkey. She has been with us for over twenty years! She’s a senior gal – estimated to be close to 30yrs old. She serves as a loyal companion and a protector over the minis. Mary is the most patient and loving donkey you’ll ever meet. Her favorite activities include getting groomed, joining Betsy & Roxy on walks in the neighborhood, and snacking on peppermints. Although she’s sweet, don’t be fooled – this girl will chase off a coyote if one dares to come near her herd!
Roxy
Roxy joined the mini herd in 2021. She was a family companion before coming to us, and she has quickly become a wonderful therapy horse! Roxy is fearless and very loving. This short stack is the smallest of the three mini’s and fits right in! In 2022, Roxy received highest rating with Pet Partners, Complex. This rating enables her to visit medical & educational facilities, and even the airport!
Star
Star is the most recent miniature addition to the farm. She is a beautiful Mediterranean Miniature donkey with loving eyes and a sweet personality. Star came to us as a rescue, so her age is estimated to be 6-8 years old. When Star first came to us she was very timid and was a little unsure about this new life of hers. After about a week she seemed to fall right into the routine, and she is now delighted to have 3 new best friends to live with! Star enjoys getting hugs, and loves making others happy with her calm demeanor. We are so happy to have a Star in our herd!
